Engineering days (sometimes referred to as man-days) are used to measure how much work is required to perform some task (in our case, the task is usually a smart contract audit). One engineering day is equivalent to one person working for a day (i.e., 8 hours).
If one of our audits has a total time donation of six engineering days, it could be that:
- we have one auditor working on the audit for six days;
- we have two auditors working together for three days each, etc.
